Rural Metro Fire Department (RMFD) is committed to delivering professional, reliable, and compassionate fire protection, rescue, and emergency medical services to the communities we serve. We strive to uphold the highest standards of safety, preparedness, and service excellence, ensuring the well-being of both residents and first responders in Tennessee State Roleplay.

Rural Metro Fire Department (RMFD) is a private fire protection service that provides firefighting, emergency medical response, and rescue services to communities that do not have municipal fire departments. Unlike traditional public fire departments funded by tax dollars, RMFD operates on a subscription-based model, where residents and businesses pay for fire protection services.

Rural Metro primarily serves unincorporated areas and certain contracted municipalities across multiple states. In Knox County, Tennessee, RMFD plays a vital role in fire and emergency services for areas outside the Knoxville Fire Department’s jurisdiction.

• Fire Suppression – We respond to structural fires, wildfires, and vehicle fires with trained firefighters and specialized equipment.

• Emergency Medical Services (EMS) – Our personnel provide life-saving medical aid, including CPR, trauma care, and patient transport.

• Rescue Operations – We conduct vehicle extractions, water rescues, hazardous material response, and technical rescues in emergencies.

• Fire Prevention & Education – We promote fire safety through inspections, community outreach, and prevention programs.

• Mutual Aid & Support – We work alongside other departments, including Knoxville Fire Department (KFD) and local law enforcement, to ensure comprehensive emergency coverage.
